A vintage 1960s Pierre Cardin hostess dress. This is a rare early design from the circa 1967 collection of Cardin's label, "Les Jerseys de Pierre Cardin". It is a wool jersey with a removeable camilla at the decollete which might be a nod to the design icon and favorite flower of Coco Chanel. The Chanel reference could be intentional as the design, overall lines and oversize flower petal lapels seem to be inspired by early 1930s fashion, not unlike the designs of Chanel. Measeurements are: Bust: 33.5"(86cm) to 35.1"(90cm), Waist: 29.6"(76cm) to 31.2"(80cm), Hips: 39"(100cm) to 40.6"(104cm). The dress is in very good condition.
