There are some light "water" marks on the under side; otherwise, it is in very good condition. The date stampe is "1901".

Regarding date stamp: In 1990, Louis Vuitton began to stagger year & month: first and third number represent month, and the second and fourth number represent the year. This case was made in October of 1991. This staggered date stamp system was used until Dec. of 2006.
