A set of four panels of vintage French 1950s, mid-century modern fabric. The panels were previously used as curtains, however, the fabric is upholstery quality. The design motif features an abstract design with African inspired figures. The fabric was produced by the Boussac company of France and the title of the pattern is "Bamako". All of the panels are in very, very good condition. All are 81 inches long and the widths are 67, 47, 71 & 47 inches.
The textile firm Boussac was founded by Marcel Boussac. The company is known for creating high quality fabrics and often had famous artist's who designed for his company. He is also known for financed the founding of the fashion house, Christian Dior.
