Unusually Shaped 1930s Elisabeth Eberhardt Studio Pottery

Availability: In stock

Details:

A very uniquely shaped, 1920s studio pottery vase by Elisabeith Eberhardt. The bowl has an shape that is not unlike the human eye with an abstract, irridescent glaze akin the glazes popularised by the Vienna school of the arts just some 20 years before. This glaze useage is important to ouvre of Eberhardt as it shows that she not only mastered the use of simple, bold glaze but also very sofisticated glaze techniques and this particularly glaze technique is not often seen in her work.
