A rare Pierre Chapo bar stool. The stool is 29 inches tall and is a taller version of Chapo's famous low, crossed tripod leg stool. This example was purchased personally, directly from Chapo. While it is not known exactly how many of this model was produced, it is known that this was not a standard model in his catalog. This could be a unique piece or one of a very, very limited production.

about the designer :: Chapo, Pierre

Pierre Chapo graduated with a degree in architecture from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1958. In the 60's, he established the Society Chapo, based in Gordes, France. He is known for his pure designs created in his first love, wood. Ever the humble creator, he considered himself to be foremost a carpenter.
