An old master drawing of John the Baptist, late 18th / early 19th century. The drawing is executed with black pencil with white highlights on a gray / brown paper. In the lower right corner, there is a monogram partially illegible and date (looks like 1802). It measures 10.2 x 8.5 inches and is mounted on a larger piece of paper that measures 17.35 x 12.25 inches. It is German in origin and in very good condition. The drawing comes from a collection of etchings and drawings from a Swiss collector.
