This is the miniature version of the Naef Spiel Building Set. Often referred to as the "little brother" to the larger set, the pieces are half the size of the 5 cm pieces in the larger set.
This miniature set is no longer being produced by Naef and is available as an exclusive at Quintessentia. This is old stock and it is new condition with original packaging.
Sometimes the simplest ideas are the greatest and in the case of this toy, orginally designed by Kurt Naef in 1956, the genius of the design is in the simplicity of the structure - Kurts' version of the cube. By altering the shape of the standard toy building set cube with diagonal incisions, a star, or rather, a new cube was born.
This is a building set that children understand intuitively and it is a toy that not only allows children to build simple and complex structures alike but also allows kids to create new toys. A child simply opens the box and the fun begins.
Each cube is 2.5 cm wide and in this set there are 16 pieces in brilliant hues of primary colors.
