A vintage Jean Prouve small table. This table designed was originally designed by Prouve as a child's desk, however, in today's home it is used as a side table or even coffee table. The great thing about this table is that it maintains the form and lines of larger Compass tables. It is made of sheet metal and has a wood top. The table has wear to paint and top. It measures 19 x 21.75 x 15.5 inches.

about the designer :: Prouve, Jean

Jean Prouve was the son of the famous French (Nancy) artisan, Victor Prouve. After apprenticing as a blacksmith and a metalsmith, he opened his own workshop in 1923 and eventually, the Ateliers Jean Prouve in 1931. He completely embraced new manufacturing technology and industrial processes in combining industrial materials, sheet metal, aluminum and glass with wood to create furniture and architecture.
