A vintage original, tapestry from the French artist, Jean Lurcat. The textile is mounted & framed and measures 44 x 48.5 inches. It is in very good condition and is circa 1940s / 50s. The textile will be sent framed.

Jean Lurcat is one of the most famous tapestry makers of the art deco to mid-century modern era. He not only exhibited with Sélections with Matisse, Picasso, Braque, Derain and Raoul Dufy in the famous Selections exhibition of 1932. He also designed costumes for George Balachine.
