A vintage French, mid-century modern design bookshelf with integrated lamp. This is a rare and unusual 1950's design of a free standing bookshelf that is mounted to the wall via two discrete circular mounts. The long armed lamp has a circular ring and its design is reminiscent of the work of Jean Royere. The shelving is made of stained oak and the metal parts are forged iron. The overall design has a sculptural quality that reflects the 1950's architecture trends and it is very practical. It is 75 inches tall, a total width of 27.25 inches; the lamp arm is 29 inches. The shelving system will be taken apart for transport.
