A fine vintage African mask featuring unusual angled carving with an unusual perspective. The mask appears to be jutting forward from the forehead outward. The mask is most like from Tanzania.

It comes from a collection of a Swiss diplomat and was acquired during his 40 year tenure on the continent. The collection focuses on masks and African art from Tanzania and the Republic of Congo.
