A vintage, circa 1950 glass pipe ashtray. The design and steel blue glass color is reminiscent and influenced by designs created by the Bauhaus designer, Wilhelm Wagenfeld, created for WMF in the 50's. It perfectly exemplifies the importance and influence of the Bauhaus design mantra, "Form=Function," had way into the 50's. This is a work of art and a fine example of mid-century modern, industrial, pressed glass. It measures 2.25 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter.
