vintage item::

A 15 inch tall, carved mask with woven cloth and rattan. It originates from the Western Pende People of the Congo. It is a Mbuya mask and is worn by boys upon returning to village after the circumcision ceremony. This particular example represents a clan chief. It has some patina and is in very good condition.
