Availability: In stock

Details:

A low studio pottery bowl by the Swiss ceramic master, Elisabeth Eberhardt. The bowl is 2.4 inches tall and 8 inches in diameter. The use of a such an experimental glaze technique in the 1920s can only be viewed as revolutionary; especially when one considers what the trends in ceramic design were at that time. The thick, freeform glaze is in deep earth tones and is a combination of the rustic, the abstract and is basically an obtuse departure of early 20th century and is quite futuristic in execution.
